Starting point
The client didn't need another website. They needed a way to run the job.
GlazeWright already had a Wix website. What they didn't have was a connected way to handle the work behind it. A refinishing job has many steps: the customer describes the surface and sends photos, the business prices it, the customer accepts, signs, pays a deposit and books a visit, and then wants to know how the job is going.
Instead of adding a separate tool for each step and sending customers between platforms, we built Field Deck as an app inside their Wix website. It uses Wix's own checkout, bookings, members, contacts, email and SMS, so the business keeps one website, one dashboard and one bill.

What Field Deck does
Everything from the first enquiry to the finished job.
Online estimate requests
Customers pick services from picture cards, describe the condition, add photos and send their details. Each request gets a project number like GW-000031.
Quotes with a private link
The business prices the job and sends one secure project link. Sending a new quote retires the old link, so customers always land on the current step.
E-signed service agreements
Customers sign online with a drawn or typed signature, initials, date and place. The signed copy is saved with the project as a PDF.
Deposits through Wix checkout
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna and Afterpay. The checkout shows the service photo and the customer's details already filled in.
Appointments in Wix Bookings
Customers choose a date and time from live availability. The address is pre-filled from the estimate, and the visit appears in the business's Wix calendar.
A project dashboard for the customer
Appointment, progress stages with photos and notes, quotes, receipts and agreements in one place. Customers come back with a one-time code or Google and Apple sign-in.
One dashboard inside Wix
Estimates, quotes, customers, projects, calendar, agreements, payments and an email log, each with search, sorting and CSV export.
Updates from the job site
A focused phone portal: pick a project, choose its stage, add photos and notes. The customer sees the update straight away.
The customer's view
Four screens from request to receipt.

Built on Wix, not around it
Native where it counts.
Payments go through Wix checkout, so the business keeps its existing payment setup, coupons and payouts. Appointments are real Wix Bookings, so they sit in the same calendar the team already uses.
Paying customers become Wix site members automatically, matched by the email they paid with, so they can sign in with Google or Apple later. Emails and texts go out through Wix in the business's own name, and replies reach the business.
Mobile reality
The right mobile answer wasn't a smaller dashboard.
GlazeWright's team works at customers' homes. They need to take photos and record progress on site, and carrying a laptop for that isn't practical. The Wix dashboard isn't built for that kind of work on a phone.
So instead of shrinking the whole dashboard, we built a separate phone portal for the field team. They sign in, pick a project, choose its stage, add photos and notes, and send the update. It only does what the field team needs, so there's nothing to get lost in.
How we work
Shaped by the client's feedback, release by release.
Field Deck was built in small steps and tested on the live website with a dedicated testing mode. That way the whole journey, payment and booking included, can be rehearsed without charging anyone or filling the real calendar. Feedback from the client and their customers turns into changes within days.
- Map the job. Every step a customer and the team go through, from first message to finished work.
- Build on the platform. Use Wix's own checkout, bookings and messaging wherever it fits.
- Test the real journey. Run it end to end on the live site in testing mode.
- Refine from feedback. Small, frequent releases based on what the client and customers notice.
Recent changes, from client feedback
Built for trust
Customer payments and documents handled with care.
Field Deck handles money, signatures and home addresses. It's built so each customer only sees their own project, and every payment and message can be traced.
Private project links
Each customer gets their own secure link. Sending a new quote retires the old one.
One-time email codes
Returning customers confirm their email with a code that expires in 10 minutes.
Members only after payment
Only paying customers become site members, matched by the email they paid with.
Payments confirmed by Wix
A deposit counts as paid only when Wix confirms the order, never from the browser. Retries can't charge twice.
Safe testing
Testing mode applies only to a test customer. Real customers always get real checkout and booking.
Nothing quietly lost
Deleted records go to a trash that can be restored, and every email and text is logged with its status.
